Stand in reverence

The scripture for April 15 reads as follows:

And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
2 Chron 7:6 (KJV)

While studying recently I was reminded of a detail about the Holy of Holies that I had never attended to before. In all of the talk about the furniture in the room did you ever notice that there is no chair, stool, bench or any other place to sit.

Look at it this way when the President of the United States enters the room what do you do? You stand out of respect for the office that he holds. The same holds true in many cases for judges, pastors and other dignitaries. So why should God receive any less when we are called into corporate praise and devotion time. The worship leader should not have to beg and plead with you to participate in what was never supposed to be a spectator sport. Praise is about being thankful and respecting God for everything He has done.

Are you praising in the hallway or waiting for the door to open?
